The sixth stop of the USA tour will take place at the Philadelphia Zoo.

Information for Guests to the Zoo....

 

a) Suggested parking is in the new garage located at 35th & Girard Avenue. Price for parking is $15 per vehicle; any Zoo Members get free parking
b) After entering the main entrance to the Zoo at 34th & Girard Avenue, proceed up to the box office ticket window to purchase admission tickets to the zoo ($20 per adult) ; Zoo members are free
c) Look for the registration table located on the adjacent plaza with a "Hangout for Orangs" sign. This table will be manned from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
d) This event staffer will provide your guests with ORANGE wristbands in order for them to gain entry into your seminar.
e) Additional event staff will gather your guests into small groups and escort them to the event location which in back-of-house. Please advise your guests to stay with their escort until they reach the Training Trailer.
f) All guests are welcome to enjoy the Philadelphia Zoo with their admission ticket for the entire day. Zoo hours are 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

The eighth stop of the USA tour will take place at the vegan restaurant, Native Foods in Westwood, CA. OURF supporter and ecotourist Tani Demain, is making this her project to raise funds for her upcoming Orangutan and Jungle River Tour to Borneo on July 4-11. If you know Tani and want to support her, come on out and join the "hang out". Even if you do not know Tani, this will be the only stop in the Greater Los Angeles region for the world tour. It will be a good opportunity to hear about the issues.  The food is great and parking validation is available.

They will be joined by Garry Sundin from Orangutan Odysseys to inform people about how ecotourism can help orangutan conservation, as well as Orangutan Odysseys' upcoming Trans Borneo Challenge. The eleventh stop of the USA tour will take place at the award-winning chocolate confectionary facility: Nuubia Chocolat in the California Bay Area city of Pleasanton. Owner Alexandra Saunders is a big supporter of wildlife and orangutans. She and Chef Lionel Clement keep their scrumptious chocolate creations free of palm oil which insures orangutans are not harmed in the making of the these exquisite treats. Chocolates will be available during the event.
